2007 08 25 - Japanese Traditional Cutting Glass

Experienced Edokiriko (江戸切子) for JPY 1,500 per person.  No glass making though!  It's all about cutting the glass (plates in our class) in different angles...  Not as easy as I thought but interesting!

Steps:
1. Mark the plate with guiding lines.
2. Start cutting with thick blade for the main cuts.
3. Mark the other connecting lines.
4. Cut the plate with a finer blade.
5. Depending on your skills, the master may help you to "fine turn" your work...
6. Finally, mark it with your initials.

You know what?  Mama-san is the best student in class who didn't really need the master help...
